UPPER MARLBORO

Upper Marlboro, located only 20 miles from the U.S. capital, is the perfect close-knit community to reside to when looking to escape the bustling city for a sweet taste of rural country life and still have close access to the larger surrounding cities. Making Upper Marlboro the perfect community for commuters, the MD 4 and MD 301 highways pass close by the town for easy access into Baltimore and Washington D.C. You also have a large variety of grocery shopping in Upper Marlboro as you are able to choose between Giant, Safeway, Food Lion, Shoppers and Target, but let’s get to the fun stuff, right?

Prince George’s Equestrian Center fits in perfectly with Upper Marlboro’s more rural setting and is a favorite spot among locals. They’ve had equestrians from all over the world travel to and compete in events held by them. Come by on a Saturday and see all the beautiful horses, and their talented riders. Prince George’s Equestrian Center puts on Breed Shows, Mounted Games, Open Shows, Western Shows and so much more. They also hold a county fair in the summertime, offering rides that are sure to make you scream and sweet treats that are sure to make your stomach hum in delight, making it the perfect summer day trip for the whole family!

Montpelier Farms is the perfect place to get your fruits and veggies as they’re known for their incredible Farmer’s Market. Their farm is the most beautiful greenery you will ever lay eyes on and will instantly make you fall in love. You’ll never want to leave the beautiful sights of Montpelier Farms, but don’t worry too much because you’re sure to make time to come back! Feel free to bring the kids along as well, because Montpelier Farms also has an on-site petting zoo! They also have pumpkin patches and corn mazes in the fall time, giving you the perfect way to celebrate Halloween.

The Grove Restaurant at Oak Creek Golf Club is the perfect place for you if you’re looking for a casual fine dining experience. The Grove prides themselves on bringing family and friends together, and markets themselves as the best place to be, eat and celebrate! However, if you’re looking for a more low-key environment, which we all are sometimes, try Maryland’s very own Ledo Pizza! Their famous square pizza was born in Maryland and has been voted Maryland’s best pizza several times. If you’re looking for something even quicker, there’s also McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy’s, Taco Bell and Arby’s nearby, taking care of all your fast food needs.

Finally, we have Six Flags America, which is also located in Upper Marlboro, making the community every thrill seeker’s dream come true. Scream your lungs out on their top rollercoaster, Superman Ride of Steel, and then head over to Shipwreck Falls to cool off as you crash down a waterfall, but don’t worry if you get too wet there are plenty of other rides to help you dry off at over 80mph. Their park is jammed packed with games, food and other amenities as well, making sure everyone who attends Six Flags America can find something fun to do, much like in Upper Marlboro Maryland!
