Dear Prospective Home Buyer,
Pleasure Cove has been a warm and comfortable home for our small family for the last 8 years. Were it not for our love of wide open spaces, we would have stayed forever.
One of the highlights and reasons we purchased this home was to have room to host our family. We loved having the space to entertain on our deck with lawn games and cocktails. We were able to host many holidays with our friends and family with plenty of space for everyone. We also roasted our very first turkey in the kitchen!
The Tartan Village community is fantastic. Many of the wonderful neighbors have lived there since the community was built. There are multiple playgrounds in the community itself, as well as a wonderful school system up the road. The community yard sales are a great way to get to know your neighbors throughout the many courts.
The community is well-placed and we enjoyed being able to both have short work commutes whether we needed to use the Beltway or the Yellow and Blue lines of the Metro, or the bus stop right in front of the community. At the end of the week, historic Old Town Alexandria is only a 10-minute drive away for nightlife, entertainment, and gorgeous views of the Potomac. There is also a local park and wetlands preserve just around the corner. For museum goers, metro access means all the many Smithsonian buildings in downtown DC are only a metro ride away and Mount Vernon only a short drive south.
We are really going to miss our home on Pleasure Cove. It was a meaningful place to expand our family, explore a new city, and meet so many wonderful friends. As we head out into the Shenandoah Valley, we won’t forget our cozy home and the memories we made there.
