Exploring Lake Ridge
A Woodbridge - Prince William County Community
The Lake Ridge Parks and Recreation Association (LRPRA) is a planned unit development community nestled along the southern bank of the Occoquan River Reservoir in Prince William County, Virginia. This family friendly community is known for its beautiful woodland setting and has been established for almost 50 years.
In 1969, Ridge Development Corporation, along with the late Kenneth Thompson, developed what was once a remote cluster of homes into today’s planned community of Lake Ridge. On March 29, 1972, with its Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions recorded in Prince William County, Virginia, the Lake Ridge Parks and Recreation Association was established.
The community is set on 4,700 acres of common ground with 1,200 acres maintained by the Association, consisting of 7,278 property units that include single-family homes, townhomes, condominiums, 2 apartment complexes and commercial properties. In addition, the Association offers a variety of amenities to include 5 pools and a spray ground, a boat ramp, community centers for rent, sports fields, playgrounds, fitness stations and other outdoor recreational courts including tennis, pickleball, basketball, multi-use and volleyball.
