SINGLE FAMILY HOMES
Daventry features over 200 single family homes set on the rolling hills of Springfield. Most homes were built between 1983 and 1986. Homes are 3-5 bedroom (with 2 homes that are 6 bedrooms) and 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 bathrooms (although you will find a few homes with more). There are several different models ranging from 1700 to over 3,000 square feet, many with walk-out basements. The average yard size is just over a quarter of an acre and with corner units you will find lots up to 2/3rds of an acre.
Most of Daventry consists of beautiful colonial style townhomes built between 1983-1987. (Walk Through One Below). These 500+ homes range from 2-4 bedrooms with walk-out basements. Many of these homes have garages, and there is assigned parking in the community for the ones without them. Make sure you park any additional vehicles on the street or elsewhere a towing is enforced.
The small condo section of Daventry is known as Ramblewood and features 160 condo units. Condos are 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom, or 2 bedroms and 2 bathrooms. This section of the community is closest to Fairfax County Parkway and feature trails leading to the pool and the rest of the community.
Amenities are for the condo section only and include multiple tot lots, tennis courts, a fenced in dog park area and an outdoor swimming pool. The townhouse section does not have any its own amenities but for a fee, residents can become members of the condo section pool. Units have reserved parking and street parking is also available.
In Keene Mill Woods, Commuters have several options for getting around. The neighborhood is 3 Miles from the VRE commuter train (Rolling Road Station) and just over 7 miles to the metro (Franconia-Springfield) and the mixing bowl (I-95, I-395, I-495). The adjacent Rolling Valley Park & Ride is easy to access with the shortcut path and has bus service to both the pentagon and the springfield metro. This is also a slug line stop.
