Hi, Herndon!
There are many reasons to visit Herndon, Virginia, and no matter if those reasons are for business or pleasure, there is no doubt that the experience will be an enjoyable and memorable one. Even with all the recent developments, Herndon still retains its Northern Virginia charm, and the small-town feel that has been its claim to fame since its pre-Civil War origins.

Herndon is located in Fairfax County, a mere 20 miles from Washington D.C. The community is a part of the Dulles Technology Corridor and is conveniently located between the Dulles Toll Rd (VA-267,) Fairfax County Parkway (VA-286,) and Sully Rd (VA-28.) Most visitors spend their time sight-seeing the various Civil War era attractions such as the Herndon Depot Museum, and the little red caboose. There are also attractions like the indoor tennis courts of Bready Park, and the quaint shops located all over the historic district.Â
Foodies can enjoy choosing from the cuisine offerings of over 100 restaurants peppered around the downtown area. Outdoor enthusiasts flock to Herndon to enjoy the thoughtfully planned greenspaces and 11 parks and hiking trails the community has to offer. Hikes on the W&OD Trail, which goes through the downtown core is a favored activity of weekend warriors here.
