Quantico is a military-friendly town in southern Prince William County, located in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The town is surrounded by Marine Corps Base Quantico (one of the largest Marine Corps bases in the world) and the beautiful Potomac River.
The FBI and DEA training academies are located on the Marine base, along with the United States Marine Museum. While this town is centered around the military and government, there is plenty for the average family to enjoy. A plethora of shopping and entertainment venues surround the area, including Potomac Mills mall in Woodbridge and historic downtown Fredericksburg.
Schools serving the area include three elementary schools (Ashurst, Burrows, Russell) and one middle/high school (Quantico). The community is conveniently located within 10 miles of seven different golf courses, including the gorgeous Forrest Green Golf Club and the MCCS/Medal of Honor Golf Course.
