Tysons Corner
Tysons Corner
Tysons Corner is a highly desirable “urban village” in northeast Fairfax County and is technically a part of McLean. The area is known for its many upscale home sights, shopping and entertainment venues and economically strong work force. The community is currently the 12th largest employment center in the entire United States!
The area is home to Tysons Corner Center, the largest mall in the metro area and entire state, as well as Tysons Galleria and Fairfax Square, both upscale shopping centers with a variety of shops and restaurants to choose from. It is estimated that 55,000 people visit these malls every weekend, making the area highly desirable in terms of economics. A few of the stores you'll find here include Versace, Nieman Marcus, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gap, The Palm, Sony Style, Nordstrom, Forever 21, and hundreds more. There is also a large, state-of-the-art movie theater.
Several top corporations and organizations call Tysons Corner home, including USA Today, Freddie Mac, and Booze Allen Hamilton. As of now, the closes Metro station to the community is the West Falls Church station, but plans to expand the Metro System with an additional line to Tysons Corner from the District of Columbia are currently underway. Additionally, I-495, the Dulles Toll Road and Route 7 can connect you to almost anywhere you want to go!
Golf Courses within the area include Jefferson Golf Course, the Country Club of Fairfax, Washington-Golf and Country Club in Arlington, and top-rated Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Md. – home of the 2011 U.S. Open.
