Rosslyn, Virginia
Rosslyn, Virginia
Rosslyn is one of Arlington, Virginia's "urban villages." It used to be known as a commercial area, but it has blossomed to be one of the most sought after areas in which to live in Northern Virginia. Rosslyn is on the other side of key bridge from Georgetown, Washington, DC, and is at the mouth of all of the area's major highways: Route 29, I-66, I-95, and Route 50--and if it couldn't get any more convenient, it even has its own metro stop in the heart of the community and a shuttle bus to Georgetown University.
Rosslyn boasts almost 10 million sq feet of office space, but it also is home to some of the most high-end residences in the Metropolitan Area. Builders come to Rosslyn to escape the height restrictions of Washington, which gives Rosslyn the extra bonus of having the best views of the Nation's monuments and skyline, with the tallest residences looking up-and-over the city with ease.
Rosslyn is bordered on one side by the historic Arlington Cemetery, which has scenic jogging trails and events year-round, like the Marine Corps Marathon.
Rosslyn has its own magazine, which highlights local community events, news, businesses, and personalities.
There are familiar chain eateries in Rosslyn like Burger King, McDonald's, Starbucks, Dominos, Red Hot & Blue, Chipotle, Piola, and local salad chain Chop't. Local favorite restaurants include Cafe Asia, an Asian restaurant and lounge, and the famous Quarterdeck restaurant, which serves large crabs on their deck, and Greenberry's coffee shop.
