Vienna
Vienna is a relatively small town located in Fairfax, Virginia, which was ranked by CNN/Money and Money Magazine as one of the 100 best places to live in the U.S. in 2005. As of 2010, Vienna proper has a population of about 15,000.
The community is home to a “downtown” area complete with several small businesses and retail chain stores. Tysons Corner, one of the largest malls on the East Coast, is located within minutes and offers a variety of dining, shopping and nightlife opportunities, from average to upscale.
The first stop (and western-most) of the Washington Metro system is located in Vienna, connecting its residents to the nation’s capital via the Orange Line, which is convenient for catching a professional sports game, sightseeing with friends or family or enjoying a night out on the town! Soon, the new Silver Line will connect to Orange Line and make transportation to Wolf Trap, Tyson's Corner, and Dulles Airport a breeze.
Vienna is served by Fairfax County Public Schools and hosts two high schools (Oakton, Madison) six elementary schools and two middle schools. Paul VI, a top-rated Catholic school, is also located nearby in Fairfax City.
The community is within close proximity to several of Northern Virginia’s top golf courses, including Westwood Country Club, Hidden Creek Country Club, and the Reston National Golf Course. The bottom line is, Vienna is a unique town with a small downtown area offering convenient access to the big city as well as all of the great entertainment and recreation that Northern Virginia has to offer!
