Occoquan

Occoquan is a charming little historic town located on the Occoquan River in southern Prince William County. The town is an ‘artsy’ community full of unique shops, outdoor dining, a town boat dock, many historic buildings and more! The town is consistently ranked as one of the best places to live in America.
During the warmer months, many flock to the town to soak up the beautiful downtown commercial area along the river and enjoy a pleasant outdoor dining and shopping scene at a variety of unique shops and restaurants. Everyone really loves the annual Occoquan Spring Arts & Crafts Show, which takes place on the qaint streets by the waterfront.
The average house price in Occoquan is significantly less than the average for the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area as a whole, making it a great place to look for housing bargains! Prince William Country Public Schools serve the town as well as a variety of private schools. There are over five golf courses around the area, including the highly touted Old Hickory Golf Club and Pohick Bay Golf Course.
The bottom line is, if you want to live in an affordable riverfront community with a unique charm and close proximity to Washington, D.C., Occoquan needs to be on your list!
