Fairfax Station is an unincorporated community in Fairfax County, just west of Washington, D.C. To many, this community acts as a “bedroom community” as many of its residents work for the Federal Government in D.C.
The community is served by Fairfax County Public Schools, one of the best public school systems in the nation, and features five elementary schools and a number of secondary and middle schools, including Lake Braddock Secondary and Robinson Secondary.
There are four subdivisions located within Fairfax Station; Barrington, South Run, Lee Chapel Grove and Crosspointe.
Fairfax Station is an unincorporated community in Fairfax County, just west of Washington, D.C. It got its name from when it used to be a Railroad station, known for its proximity to Fairfax City.
