Dumfries

Dumfries is a town located in southern Prince William County. Considered Virginia’s oldest chartered town, this area is rich in history. As with most populated areas, there is a variety of shopping and dining opportunities available, including nearby Potomac Mills Mall. It’s also within close proximity to Washington, D.C. and historic Fredericksburg, VA.

The area is served by Prince William County Public Schools and features six elementary schools (John F. Pattie Sr., Montclair, Dumfries, A. Henderson, Swans Creek, Mary Williams), one middle school (Potomac) and one high school (Potomac).

Are you a golfer? Look no further! The Dumfries area features eight golf courses all within ten miles, including Old Hickory Golf Club and Osprey’s Landing Golf Club. With so much to do in this area, including shopping, golf, dining, historic sites and community events, it would be a shame to overlook it as your new home!
