Centreville
Centreville
Centreville is a well-populated, historic community in southwestern Fairfax County, just on the border of both Loudoun and Prince William counties, about 20 miles west of the nation’s capital. As of 2010, the population is about 50,000.
Today, Centreville consists of many large housing developments, upscale townhomes, shopping centers and strip malls, and a large movie cinema. Located conveniently around I-66, a short trip east brings you to the Vienna Metro station, offering easy and convenient access to Washington D.C. and other suburbs closer into the city, including Arlington and Alexandria!
The area boasts many public schools, including two high schools (Centreville, Westfield), which are two of the biggest high schools in the commonwealth, all run by Fairfax County Public Schools.
For the avid golfer, rest assured, plenty of great golfing opportunities await! Several golf courses and country clubs can be found throughout the area, including the world-class Robert Trent Jones Golf Club, Fairfax National Golf Club and Bull Run Golf Club.
