Success is spelled "S-O-L-D"

We recently had the privilege to work with a client that had purchased the home five years ago with The Nellis Group. Listen to the seller describe his experience with our Team and the items that were important to him when selecting a Realtor. Make sure when you go to select a Realtor you focus on: Marketing, Technology and Real Estate Market knowledge.

Donovan McNabb traded to Washington Redskins

Yes as a Metro DC resident I am still upset that the Washington Redskins play out in Maryland... I have long sought to bring them back to DC- perhaps not at RFK but a new stadium...

Today we have GREAT news... The Washington Redskins - with their owner Dan Snyder taking a back seat has allowed for the new GM- Allen to bring in Donovan McNabb for literally PEANUTS... This is a superb pick-up for the Washington Redskins.

This quarterback pick-up including the new coach - Mike Shanahan is prepping the Redskins for one of their best runs in recent football seasons!! I am proud to be a Redskins fan today!!

What is a foreclosure? A foreclosure is a property that is now owned by the Bank. The Bank took the property back typically due to non-payment by the previous borrower. Many times the foreclosure properties are priced "ahead" of the market or at a discount compared to other active homes.

If you are looking for foreclosures or deals in today's real estate market you will want to watch this video and go to www.nellisgroup.com/deadhouses

MythBusters for Real Estate #2: Short Sales Absolve a Seller from all Liability

A current myth in the Real Estate world is that when a seller completes a short sale they are free from any further litigation or judgements... Not always TRUE... Make sure you understand the 3 possible results when doing a short sale. They are each highlighted in this video designed to bust this current myth on short sales:

MythBusters for Real Estate #1: All Realtors are the Same

What does it take to succeed in Real Estate? More importantly, what does it look like? Real Estate is a service industry and the best in Real Estate are the Realtors that truly serve their clients.

Over the years I have heard that "All Realtors are the Same"... Many times when first meeting with prospective buyers or sellers I get the sense that they view me as a "commodity"... Just another Realtor, let's listen to what he has to say. Well? Is there a difference or are all Realtors the same?

In this first segment of "MythBusters for Real Estate" I will review Myth #1: All Realtors are the Same... Watch the video to see if this is True or False:

Crowded Streets Live at Fat Tuesdays in Fairfax Virginia

Crowded Streets

Northern Virginia and the Washington DC area has an overwhelming local artist scene. Many bars/restaurants will have live music throughout the year and typically over the weekends.

Crowded Streets, a Dave Matthews Band Cover Band played at Fat Tuesdays in Fairfax Virginia over the weekend.

Crowded Streets has been playing in the local area for years and truly has the "DMB" sound. They play most often in the area at Whitlows in Arlington, Virginia. It was interesting to see them play at Fat Tuesdays in a much smaller venue. Fat Tuesdays has long been known as the "local dive" in Fairfax. Many times beer is served in plastic cups rather than glasses. Prices are good, food is decent but you go to "Fats" for the music.
