   Our tradition for years is to go as a family, waking up while it is dark, parking next to the memorial and finding a row of chairs in front of the Lincoln. There is nothing like it.      My favorite part is when the entire crowd chimes in with "He is Risen, He is Risen Indeed". My friends may you have a blessed Holiday weekend and truly enjoy this Sunday! He is Risen...

Ever feel like spoiling yourself with a nice, quiet dinner in the heart of Chantilly, Virginia? There is a new restaurant located in South Riding, Virginia called Ford’s Fish Shack. My first experience with Ford’s Fish Shack was at their Ashburn Virginia location. I kept going back to Ashburn for the food and service I received at Ford’s Fish Shack.

When the Fish Shack opened in South Riding, I knew I had to be one of the first to see if the experience matched what I had fallen in love with in Ashburn.

Here are a few tips for a novice to Ford’s Fish Shack:
- Make sure to call ahead because the average wait time is around 2 hours
- Try one of their various micro brews
- Be sure to try their guacamole starter

During my last visit to the Fish Shack we ordered the Rockfish special that came with creamy polenta and crab cake sandwich.

When dinner came we were not disappointed it compared to Ashburn's presentation and service. Everything was cooked to perfection. The Rockfish was flaky and the crab cake was more crab than filler.

Overall it was the perfect dinner experience and we can not wait for another excuse to go back. The prices are moderate and slightly high for the location but the food and atmosphere more than makes up for the price and wait time.

How many of our baby boomers have had a shingles shot or are considering one?  I asked my Father the other day if he had had one and he did not know. I am trying to instill the extreme necessity of having the shot. 

"More and more baby boomers born in the 50s and 60s are starting to become eligible for the shingles vaccine, and many should not skip it, as the majority of them probably had chicken pox in their youth."- Fox News

Dr's recommend that adults in there 50's receive the vaccination to avoid the reoccurring pain that comes with shingles.
