Burke Lake Park is located in the heart of Fairfax County on 888 acres with a 218 acre lake to enjoy and is one of the premier parks in the state of Virginia providing many amenities and activities to excite the young, old, single, married w/kids, you name it...  With free entrance to all Fairfax County residents, Burke Lake Park can be an inexpensive entertainment option that is also good (healthy) for you as well. Burke Lake Park hosts a true nature trail that is used for hiking, biking and running throughout the wooded setting wrapping around the lake. Burke Lake Park is rated as one of the 10 best in the nation by the American Hiking Society.

   Burke Lake Park includes the largest variety of activities of any park in Northern Virginia: fishing, camping, swimming, boating, hiking, biking, running (short distance, long distance, and 1.5 mile fitness course), volleyball, ultimate Frisbee, golf (par 3 course, mini-golf course, and driving range), picnics, outdoor plays, mini locomotive, and of course tanning in the summer months on beaches and grassy areas.  Pets are welcome, as long as doggy bags are used for any tiny deposits.
