Have you ever moved to a new town, a new area and not known who to call when something breaks down? Our Real Estate team stumbled upon Angie's List (www.angieslist.com) years ago when looking for other resources to give our clients. We wanted to be able to refer to them multiple contractors for a given need.

Angie's list supplied us with accredited companies that have lived up to their recommendations. I recommend this service if you are in a new area and do not yet have the right contacts. If you live in Washington DC or Northern Virginia, I would recommend contacting The Nellis Group to know which ones on this list are the best.

Angie's list magazine recently published the Best & Worst of 2008. If you have not seen it yet you need to take a look at their Worst of 2008. This includes photos or rather mugshots from Department of Correction facilities and even local Sheriff offices.
